The phenomenon of mental fatigue in the learning process which called"invisible killer"influencing the healthy life of middle school students reflects the negative learning psychology of contemporary middle school students and it matters directly to the middle school students'learning quality and emotional state. In recent years, it has aroused the close attention of scholars.The research surveys 160 middle school students and 61 teachers by open questionnaire. On the basis of that survey, we understand the presentation and the major factors of mental fatigue in middle school students'learning process. In addition, we construct the model mental fatigue in learning process. Moreover, we establish"Mental fatigue in the Learning Process of Middle School Student Questionnaire". With that questionnaire, the research investigates middle school students. In this research, we adopt critical value as the diagnosis standards of mental fatigue, and we divide mental fatigue in learning process into five levels: no mental fatigue, mild mental fatigue, moderate mental fatigue, heavier mental fatigue and severe mental fatigue by the level degree of mental fatigue. This research has the following results:(1) Mental fatigue in the learning process of middle school student questionnaire contains four dimensions: cognitive fatigue, emotional exhaustion, weak learning will, low learning efficiency. Inspections indicate that the questionnaire is of satisfactory reliability and validity, so it can be a useful measurement implement for the research.(2) The mental fatigue in the learning process of middle school students is at the middle level but a little lower, which scores the highest on the emotional exhaustion, followed by cognitive fatigue and low learning efficiency, and the weak learning will gets the lowest score on the dimension.(3) The mental fatigue in the learning process of the middle school students has significant difference in the only child or the non-only child, schooling stages, subjects, self-assessment learning conditions, and parental education level. On the whole, there is no difference between genders, but the emotional exhaustion and weakness of learning will of male students are higher than female students.
