A Study On Status And Development Strategies Of Basketball Cluture On Campus Of Urban Middle School In Henan Province

Culture is the root and soul of a nation, forming the foundation of a nation's survival and development. The impact of culture on human behavior is potential, which is built in the unconsciousness of human brains. And sometimes it consciously or unconsciously renders people's thinking and behaviors enter into the consciousness of their own culture. The spread and blend of culture has become a sign of human civilization and social progress. Basketball has evolved from a common sporting event to sports culture with certain representative meanings, and become a cultural phenomenon of modern society. It is difficult for basketball without "soul" to form its own unique characteristics and style, and it is hard for it to rise to a higher level. Rich basketball culture on campus plays a crucial role in enhancing the physical fitness and maintaining the health of teachers and students, in improving the level of basketball, and in training basketball talents. As the soul of the sport, basketball culture is essential to the survival and development of basketball. By collecting relevant documents, the research finds the basketball culture of urban high schools in Henan Province is still in the blank in previous studies.This thesis conducts a survey of the development of the basketball culture in forty different urban high schools of Henan Province and has the relevant leaders and experts interviewed. Meanwhile, it sorts out and analyzes the related data by utilizing the mathematical statistics and logical analysis.The survey shows the current situations of the basketball culture of high schools in Henan province are like this. First, the facilities in playgrounds are adequate in quantity and high in quality. Second, the sports systems are mainly made by authority. The schools are unable to issue adaptive systems according to their actual situation. Third, the cultural spirit is still traditional and remains on the surface. Forth,? they have normal basketball courses, but the organized extra-curricular basketball activities are seriously limited.The study holds the view that there are four main problems in the current development of basketball culture of urban high schools of Henan Province. First, school administrators are ignorant of the full value of basketball. Second, there are various conflicts between the main subjects under the school physical education system. Third, there exists the curing and deficiency of the school basketball behavioral culture. Forth, the school sports facilities and the methods of the school physical education propaganda are lagging behind.At the same time, according to the present problems, this thesis puts forwards four measures in accordance to the relevant issues of the future development of basketball culture of high schools in Henan Province.First, the ideology of the school leaders of all levels should be transformed, and their awareness of the importance of the physical education should be raised. The development of urban high school basketball sports in Henan Province must be established on the basis of the overall development of the physical education of the schools. Leaders at all levels of management should change their present thoughts and they should realize the importance of physical education of the school.Second, according to the related sports system made by the school in reality, the efficiency of the sports to adapt to the systems should be improved. For the development of basketball culture of the urban high schools in Henan Province, it is necessary to fully implement the rules and regulations formulated by the state, and make the needed physical sports systems in related to the actual development of the local school sports. It is essential to fully mobilize the local sports authorities, schools and classroom teachers, and enable them to actively participate in the different construction work of the school physical education systems.Third, it is necessary to enrich the students' basketball life and improve their initial to participate in basketball games. For school leaders, they should highly coordinate the relationship between the students and the activities, ease the conflict between the two participants, and promote the harmonious development between the two parties. Meanwhile, on the basis of the continuous development of the current basketball competition, the rules and regulations of the competition should be further standardized and the impact of competition should be enhanced.Forth, the school sports publicity should be strengthened, and the approaches of the promotion should be gradually enriched. The promotion towards teachers and students should be strengthened, and their understanding of the meanings and values of the sports should be advocated. At the same time, schools should strengthen the external propaganda, so that the society can change the prejudice on school sports. The function of the campus network in propaganda should be fully explored, and more students, teachers and school leaders should participate in the discussion of the development of school sports.
