Since the Internet was born in United States in 1989,it spread around the world with amazing speed, expand to every corner of the world as quickly as possible, and permeate into every aspect into our work, study, and life. We all know the network has brought us many advantages, such as shopping, checking the bills, making friends, playing online games, watching the news, and so on. Meanwhile, the network also brings a lot of negative effects, especially to college students who are in growing period. Because the students were curious, active ins thinking and open to new things, so they use internet earlier more often than other people. Internet has become a contemporary part in our life. While, because of poor self-control, employment, learning pressure, immature psychological development, more and more students become susceptible to internet addiction, which lead the phenomenon to the center of people's attention. At present, there are some researches on internet addiction, but the vast majority of the studies focus on undergraduates which means ordinary students, middle and elementary school students, but few studies on the higher vocational college students. Along with the development of our country's economic construction, higher vocational education is an important human resources for national development, conveying high-quality practical talents to the production, work, construction, service, management and so on, which is a great mission. However, there appears a problem in higher vocational education, such as the professional setting is not perfect, lack of students, and the students' giving up their studies because of network. This paper collects the situation of the IAD of the students in Higher Vocational Colleges through the studies and investigations, analyses of the spsychological health situation to the sufferers of the IAD, and therefore helps to solve the problem of the IAD among the students in Higher Vocational Colleges. This paper has selected 400 students in two higher vocational colleges in Chongqing, and received 365 valid questionnaires. The study discovers that:(1) Most vocational college students in Chongqing can use internet healthy, the data shows that 81.4% of vocational students'network ages are more than three years, most students cost 3-5 times a week, at least an hour a day on line. But few students can combine network with learning effectively.(2) Tested by Revised Chinese Internet Addiction Scale (CIAS),8.5% of vocational students have IAD, which is lower than other researches' result. Although the higher vocational students network addiction rates is lower than ordinary undergraduates, but it doesn't mean it's not necessary to study vocational college students'Internet Addiction, as they play a special role in socialist construction, we must focus on vocational college students'Internet Addiction.(3) The difference of grade between IAD and non-IAD is little, but they have great difference between sex, on-line time and network function.(4) Studies found that every score of mental health is between 1.59-2.15, which suggests that most vocational college students may have mild health problem, the interpersonal problems, depression, obsessive-compulsive symptoms and hostility are more seriously than others.(5) The difference of compulsive symptoms, hostility between IAD and non-IAD is notable, and the difference between interpersonal sensitivity and depression is very significant.
