"Going on-line"has become one important part of modern people's life and has gradually developed into one lifestyle based on network technology. People accessed the internet in their work, study and life more frequently and this trend unavoidably influenced students. While network brought us convenience, there existed some negative influence, that was internet addiction, to which people have attached great importance. But people have paid less attention to the internet addiction among secondary vocational students, a special group in senior middle school. This paper, based on the investigation into the situation of internet addiction and psychological health among secondary vocational students, intended to know their present situation in China and analyses their relations.The major findings were summarized as follows:1. 52% secondary vocational students spent less than one year on network; 82.9% students spent fewer than 5 hours per week online and access the internet less frequently; 77.3% students went on-line less than once a week; 53.9% students chose to go online in cyber-cafés and they might often chat and play computer games on line.2. According to the usual standards, the proportion of internet addiction to the secondary vocational students was 8.9% and there existed notable difference between boy students and girl students. There did not exist difference between the grades. On-line time was a key index to internet addiction. There also existed great difference between internet addiction and online frequency and place. The cyber-caféwas one of the dangerous factors to internet addiction. Playing online games was the major factor to internet addiction.3. Only 0.04% secondary vocational students had serious psychological health problems. There did not exist notable difference between boy students and girl students except the difference in depression and study pressure. There did not exist notable difference between the different grades in psychological health.4. The internet addictions and non-addictions were quite different in psychological health, paranoia, hostility, anxiety and maladjustment symptoms. There exists sharp difference in internet addiction among students with different levels of psychological health.5. There existed notable correlations between the internet addiction and the psychological health.6. Through multivariate regression analysis, the predictability for psychological health was 9.8% when one variable was used in regression equation.
