CBA In-depth Reporting Study Of Chinese Professional Basketball Newspapers

In current multimedia information age, different media are trying to bring their own advantages in order to strength their ability in intense media competitions. Nowadays the fact is that the timeliness of newspaper is weaker than broadcasting and television. Under this circumstance, in-depth reporting is becoming a competitive means which has been widely used of newspaper media, especially of sports news coverage.Professional basketball newspaper is one active power in present domestic sports media. Also, in-depth reporting is report supporting means which attract much attention. The objective of this paper is to analysis the in-depth report in Basketball Pioneers, which is based on its newspaper as representatives of professional basketball, with its 2006～2007 season to the 2009-2010 season, the four seasons and three of the CBA League off-season reports, and using editing and in-depth reporting theory in different dimensions. This paper refers to a lot of in-depth relevant literature. Communicating with domestic basketball reported expert and senior editor, reports about CBA in-depth reports are obtained. After collecting the information, a simple mathematical statistic is applied using content analysis method.Through systematic analysis and research, this paper summarized the in-depth reporting's present status of Basketball Pioneers as a representative of the domestic basketball professional newspaper, which is including characteristics of quantity of reports, news content, reported type, reported combination patterns, etc. And combine the characteristics of relevant theories and expert views to give proposals in in-depth reporting future development of basketball professional newspaper.Hopefully the analysis result of this paper will provide valuable references of sports in-depth reporting not only for professional basketball newspaper, but also for the whole newspaper media.
