In the early twentieth century, capitalist countries the economic crisis broke out. At that time, continuing to use the classical management theory has not resolved the severe labor dispute. In order to find the solutions to the problems, the Mayo pilot the Hawthorne experiment which include four stages, establish the interpersonal relationship theory, proposed a "social man" hypothesis, discovered the existence and role of informal organizations, and consider that the reason to improve the employee motivation is the satisfaction of its needs. Mayo the interpersonal relationship theory make the center of management from "objects" to "people", is a major turning point in the management thinking history, and open up the new direction for behavioral science.By the impact of his history, Mayo's interpersonal relationship theory has some limitations. Marx critically learned the reasonable factors of humanitarian and the humanism, and created a scientific theory about the people on the basis of historical materialism. So, it is should to regard Mayo' interpersonal relationship theory in a correct view, comprehensively grasp the value connotation of interpersonal relationship theory of, and give an objective evaluation in the scale of the Marx'human thought.The human management thinking which contain in Mayo's interpersonal relationship theory is the origin of the modern human management theory. Facing the essence and the content of Mayo' management ideas, the correct method is excavate its value and abondon the dross, is not blindly negative. China'human management has made great progress and achieved gratifying results. But, by reflection on the management situation,we will find that problems still exist. Finding the way to solve the problem is urgent. Why the classical management theory in the management history is never fade? The reason is that the spirit and ideas contained in the theory is immortal. It is need for us to investigate and think the revelation to China human management from Mayo's human management thought which is contained in interpersonal relationship theory.
