New Curriculum Reform must spark off the reform of learning methods. Self-learning ability is the basic character of New Curriculum Reform of chemistry in senior school. To train the students the ability of self-study is one of the primary requirements of New Curriculum Reform of chemistry. This thesis chooses the students from Wuhan No.12 Middle School, which is a high school, as an object. On the basis of the investigation that focuses on the present situation of self-study ability of high school students who study chemistry. And it approaches the factors that influence the students' ability of self-study. The thesis points out that during the process of education practice for chemistry, we should advocate the self-study model. With Inquiring Learning as the core, the formation of students'creative quality as the aim, we should explore scientific education strategy and train the students to study on their own. As a result, all we should do can lay a solid basis for students'lifelong learning. Finally, the paper shows the research process of practising training the ability of students'self-learning of chemistry through teaching plan, learning paper, and Guidance Case.The author hopes that we can learn all from one with this thesis, which can reveal the present situation of self-study ability of high school students in chemistry learning. At the same time, it also provides some beneficial suggestions, which that can improve the high school students self-learning ability in chemistry, and it is a relevant research paper as well.
