Job Stress is a general problem in modern social life,the occuptional burnout caused by working pressure is severe in service industry,occuptional burnout is more harmful to modern people than smoke, drink and drug abuse. Teacher career is a service industry and teacher community is a high-risk group of occupational burnout when they were in the state of occupational burnout, it would influnence teachers themselves,their family,colleages and students.therefore it is a significant to research on occupational burnout in theory and practice.The primary and secondary school teachers in Baotou city were investigated by the study,which inspected the source of job stress, job control and the occuptional burnout status, investigated the relations of the source of teachers'job stress, job control and occuptional burnout. More explored whether the interaction between source of job stress and job control was remarkable to occupational burnout and had the predicting function, so as to further alleviate teachers'burnout to provide constructive suggestion.In this study we used methods of questionaire on the basis of literature to research the primary and secondary teachers and middle,school teachers of Baotou, and adopted some statistical methods such as descripe statistic,t-test,correlation analysis, regression analysis about data processing and analysis. The number of effective subjects was 671. The tools of investigating are three parts:Occupational stress questionaire of school teacher; MBI Educators Survey (MBI—ES); Job Control Survey.The research results were as follow:1.Currently teachers in Bao Tou encountered much working pressure source,especially student factor,workload stress and family factor; different demography statistical variable has remarkable difference of varying degree in total score of teachers' job stress including the sex, the teaching experience, the school category, the subject he was leaching, Degree.2.Different demography variable has varying degree remarkable difference in the occupational burnout dimension, such as including the sex, teaching experience, the school category,class sponsor or not,the subject he was teaching,educational history;Other demography variable has not remarkable in the occupation burnout dimension,such as including whether he was teacher in the charge of a class,whether he was in the charge of graduating class,professional title.At the same time, the degree of occupational burnout of teachers was fairly serious,especially sentiment exhaust.3.School teachers'working job source, the work control feeling and the occupation burnout have a remarkable related existence.4Job control feeling between job stressors and occupational burnout was psychological intermediary variables.It had significant interaction between Job stressors and job control feeling to occupational burnout.The research conclusion was as follow:Occupational burnout is as a consequence of working pressure, but both are not a simple relationship of causality,in fact they are very complex. This study finds source of job stress is an important influential factor of teachers'occupational burnout by empirical research,the harmful degree is varying from person to person or different time and depends on individual cognitive evaluation of pressure source------job control. Job control has dual psychological mechanism, it has a certain interactional role between the pressure of work and occupational burnout.Therefore, there has an important prevent and mitigative role by concerning teachers and giving them a certain degree of autonomy.
