With the development of society and the continuously educational reform deepening in our country, the work stress and occupational burnout problems on teachers are gradually outstanding. More and more people pay more attention to the problems in the field during these years. Many researchs show that the work of teachers is a job of high stress .Work stress for a long time can cause serious occupational burnout,the cause of teacher's occupational is related to the stress of teachers.After reading a lot of literatural materials and talking to middle school -teachers, especially on the base of questionnaire investigation, we investigate and research the work stress and occupational burnout,the results are as follows:1. In general, the degress of middle school teachers' work stress and occupational burnout is relatively strong, the average of teachers'work stress is 146.7723, 63.4% of teachers think that the work stress is strong or very strong,only 5.7% of teachers feel nothing.and the average of occupational' burnout is 78.8085,54.2% of teachers show their occupational burnout.2. The stresses on teachers come from the factors of the students, work burdens,examinations and entering higher schools,and the most burnout is from emotional exhaustion.3. 90% of the teachers think the following items are origins of work stress:too much duties on teachers;the different levels in the study of students;tired of too much work;wear out because of their work;the rate of entering high schools;worrying about the study results of students;too much written work, such as preparing for class and correcting the homework of the students;the shortness of the motivation and interest in the students;higher and higher demands for new teaching methods and so on.70% of the teachers feel that the following burnout is the most:I'm emotional exhaustion because of my work;Thinking of the work I have to deal with when I wake up in the morning, I'm tired out. I'm tired of my work;I think the students will blame to me as the result of their problems,only 21.9% of the teachers think they have full energy in the work.4.The stress is distinct difference in sex and age,and extremely remarkable difference in manager of the class or not and the subjects,while there is no difference in marriage,academic,class,grade,school site,the titles of technical posts,headship and teaching age. The 'burnout is significant difference in academic, the titles of technical posts, age, teaching age,class geade manager of the class or not,school site and subject,while there is no difference in sex,marriage and headship.5. Teacher's work stress is the same as occupational burnout in age,titles of technical posts,academic,school site,subject,marriage,calss grade and manager of the class or not.After analyzing and discussing the research results above,and according to the results and the practice of the middle school teachers,we put forward some advice and suggestions to the teachers ,the headmasters and the government on how to lighten the work stress on middle school teachers and relax the occupational burnout on teachers,people should have a rational hopefulness;The government should formulate a policy to improve the teachers' social position and economy position; The school executives should create conditions to elimination teacher burnout by improving teaching environment, job evaluation and job arrangement. Teachers should know themselves to improve quality. |
