Currently, China's new education curriculum reform is launching roundly. The new curriculum requires that education should pay more attention to students' ability elevation and all-round development. The senior high school chemistry curriculum standard also calls for strengthening of chemistry experiment teaching and improving the students' experiment ability and the inquisition ability. Chemical experiment ability and chemical experiment inquisition ability is an important part of the students' abilities. Implementation of chemical experiment extra-curricular activities has an important role to improve students' ability of chemical experiment. But at present, there are still quite a few problems of China's high school chemistry experiment teaching extra-curricular activities. Therefore, in such research background, this research investigated the current situation of high school chemistry experimental teaching extra-curricular activities by questionnaire. According to the Life Education theory, constructivism theory and multiple intelligence theory, this paper discussed the problems of the current high school chemistry experiment teaching extra-curricular activities, and suggested some corresponding countermeasures. The full text includes five parts:the first part is the present study at home and abroad, especially the research status of the chemistry experiment teaching extra-curricular activities in high school. The second part defines some related concepts, including chemistry experimental teaching, extra-curricular activities and chemistry experimental teaching extra-curricular activities. The third part introduced some basic theories to support the high school chemistry experimental teaching extra-curricular activities, including the Life Education theory of Tao Xingzhi, the constructivism theory, the multiple intelligence theory and their supports to chemistry experimental teaching extra-curricular activities. And chemistry discipline has some special characters of itself, like basic on experiment and contact to life closely. These characters require that chemistry experimental teaching has to expand to extra-curricular. The fourth part is the research. The author selected three senior high schools which located in cities, counties and rural areas. The author investigated the current situation and the existing problems of high school chemistry experimental teaching extra-curricular activities by questionnaire. Through the attribution analysis the author found that some reasons result in these problems. The reasons include that the teachers and students'inadequate understanding and attention, the students have too much pressures of study and schoolwork, lack of external conditions and technical support and other reasons. These reasons result in high school chemistry experimental teaching still exists problems like teachers and students haven't pay more attention on chemistry experiment extra-curricular activities on thought level, students feel "the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak" to chemistry experimental extra-curricular activities, most of the teachers and students do experiments just for examinations, students haven't get enough supports from their parents or the society to do extra-curricular chemistry experiments. The fifth part according to the actual chemistry teaching proposed some strategies to solve these problems, as:shift the old educate concepts, deepen cognition, pay more attention to the student ability's development, grasp some appropriate methods of implementation of high school chemistry experimental teaching extra-curricular activities, strive for more outside support, etc.
