| This paper focuses on the use of techniques and tactics in match of 6 top-ranking table tennis players from home and abroad and, through such methods as document study, video watching, mathematic statistics and professional consultation, conducts a statistic analysis from these aspects of techniques combination and placement combination. It is indicated from my research that:(1)For Chinese top players; they usually have a high scoring rate for the 1-3 stroke tactics combination, which accounts for a high ratio of tactic use; it is also true of the 1-3-5 stroke tactics combination; for tactics featuring the 7th stroke or after, both the scoring rate and ratio are low while for the 2-4 stroke tactics combination they are both high; for the 2-4-6 stroke tactics combination the scoring rate is low and ratio high; for tactics featuring the 8th stroke or after, scoring rate is relatively high with a low ratio. Techniques mainly comprise control-offensive combination and supplementary successive offensive combination, with the scoring rate of the former higher than that of the latter. Offensive is the main scoring skill and then control. Offence and defense are the main causes of losing point. The placement combination of the serving turn all feature a first-short-then-long pattern and a short-long placement combination; for receiving turn, Ma Lin features a short-long combination while Wang Hao and Ma Long both are characterized by long-long combination with a supplementary short-long combination.(2)For foreign top-ranking players, they have both a high scoring rate and ratio for the 1-3 stroke tactics combination use; for the 1-3-5 stroke tactics combination and the tactics combination featuring the 5th stroke and after, the scoring rate and ratio also are relatively high; for the 2-4 stroke tactics combination they usually have a low scoring rate with a high ratio; both the scoring rate and the ratio for the 2-4-6 stroke tactics combination and the combination featuring the 8th stroke and after are relatively low; Techniques mainly comprise control-offensive combination and supplementary successive offensive combination, with the scoring rate of the former lower than that of the latter. The placement features a long-long combination and is supplemented by a short-long combination.(3)For the 1-3 stroke tactics combination, Chinese players have a higher scoring rate and ratio than their foreign counterparts; for the 1-3-5 stroke tactics combination they have largely the same scoring rate and ratio; for the tactics combination feature the 7th stroke or after, Chinese players have both a lower scoring rate and ratio than their foreign counterparts. For the 2-4 stroke and the 2-4-6 stroke tactics combinations, Chinese players have a much higher scoring rate than their foreign counterparts while share largely the same ratio; the results of T test show:in terms of scoring rate and ratio, there is no big difference between their service return tactics,2-4 stroke tactics combinations and the tactics combinations featuring the 8th stroke and after. But their scoring rates show a marked difference when it comes to the 2-4-6 stroke tactics combination, with their ratios of use being more or less the same. For control-offensive-defensive combination, offensive-defensive combination and control-defensive combination, Chinese players have a much lower ratio of use than their counterparts. There's no marked difference between their other techniques combinations in terms of ratio of use. For half-table placement and near edge long placement combination, Chinese players have a marked advantage in terms of scoring rate, while for other placement combinations no big difference is found between their scoring rates and ratios of use.
