There are the collisions of culture in the multi-cultural society. As a microcosm of society, university also has many kinds of collisions of culture with the collision of mainstream and non-mainstream campus culture being one of them. Mainstream culture is absolutely the core of university, at the same time non-mainstream culture is also an indispensable part. Relatively speaking, non-mainstream culture is considered to be the outsider of the campus mainstream culture, and has the characteristics of sociality, variance, spontaneity and complexity. Rather than being static, it changes with the developing of time and changing of the environment. It is a spontaneously formed"free culture"in the university. It is not isolated, but a cultural composite with all kinds of culture mixed together.Ideological and moral quality as the soul of college student quality occupies a special role in the college student quality structure. It provides a strong spiritual power to the formation and development of other qualities. Ideological and moral quality is a stable trait which develops in the long-term social practice and is influenced by the social environment. It includes conception, moral, political orientation, values and ideals and beliefs, etc. It is externalized as behavior. It is not only the basic requirements of the strategy of invigorating through science and education, but also the source of the great renaissance of the Chinese nation to train high moral qualified university students. As a kind of subculture campus non-mainstream culture has subtle and long-lasting impact on ideological and moral quality including positive and negative effects.This article is divided into five chapters. The first chapter introduces the background, the significance of the topic, current research and the thoughts and methods to define culture, mainstream culture, non-mainstream culture, campus culture, campus mainstream culture, campus non-mainstream cultural, the content of ideological and moral quality. In chapter two it investigates and obtains relevant information through a questionnaire on the current situation of non-mainstream culture, and then on the basis of the questionnaire analyzes the reasons for its existence from the perspectives of social, school, individual students and family. In chapter three it analyzes the different effects on college students caused by the different non-mainstream culture. In chapter four, by applying education, psychology, sociology and other relevant knowledge and theories it proposes the correct attitude and strategy toward the non-mainstream campus culture to enhance the improvement of ideological and ethical quality based on the cause of the non-mainstream and the influence in has on ideological and moral qualities In chapter V it summarizes the content of the thesis and inadequacies and so on.
