Design And Application Of Classroom For Seminar

In the era of knowledge and economy, educational institutions need to cultivate innovative talents. "National long-term educational reform and Development Plan (2010-2020)" proposed to promote the cultivation of creative talents by the reform, and advocate heuristic, inquiry, discussion, participatory mode of teaching. These teaching methods made new demands on traditional classrooms, but classroom-based teaching model is difficult to meet these demands. This paper attempted to discuss the preliminary design and implementation of the classroom for Seminar, This research work is supported by "the research project on future classroom", which is one sub-item of "985" project of ECNU named "The research on innovation base of teacher education and construction of the platform for advantage subject". This research provided some ideas of designing this classroom which may be put into use in large-scale.This paper referred extensively to domestic and international learning space design, classroom design, instructional design and other related research, Under the guidance of theories about learning environment design, ergonomics and ecological classroom, using Interactive whiteboard and traditional multimedia teaching equipment, This study designed and implemented a seminar-type class from space, technology, education and social dimensions based on PSST which is framework of Learning space design. According to the characteristics of this classroom, this paper summarized the typical use of this classroom. At the same time, in this classroom we carried out teaching practice in graduate course which is "the use of qualitative analysis software", evaluated the effect of the application by interviews and classroom observation, and concluded this classroom can promote Seminar.The final, this paper summarized the research process, proposed factors which the design of classroom for Seminar need be considered, pointed out the problems in the research process and research directions in the future, hoping to have some reference to the design of classroom for Seminar.
