Entrepreneurial university, higher education companies, academic capitalism and other new words has been well known in the higher education. Middle of last century, with the popularization of higher education, most country's higher education system access to public higher education stage. The scale of the rapid expansion of university teachers and students than the sharp decline in the pursuit of quality, making the university teachers have to seek new development. At this time, scholars put faculty development on their research agenda, they were well development. Faculty development is practically, every country has their way.Over the past three decades of change in higher education is considered the biggest change. Globalization, market-oriented, knowledge economy, accountability has become the background, that the modern universities can't be avoided. Which the market impact of the faculty is enormous, and academic capitalism began to prevail at the university. Organizational development, personal development, teaching development and professional development in faculty development have different degrees of change. Under the marketization of higher education, the subject of faculty development is necessary.This article attempts to literature research, comparative study and historical research methods used to study the market of higher education under the University Teachers. Through learning the definition of faculty development, theory development, national faculty development practice, to understand the faculty development. Further analysis the generative logic and value conflict of market-oriented higher education, learning academic capitalism, understanding all aspects of marketization of higher education, faculty development can't be avoided in this context. Under the higher education market, analysis the faculty in four dimensions (academic development, professional development, organizational development and personal development). Understand the reality of faculty development, and the ideal of faculty development. Standing on the current study, new faculty development model has been proposed, under the marketization of higher education.
