"Two Types Society" Construction And College Students Environmental Protection Education

Environment problems is the major issues humanity facing since the 20th century. In recent years, natural disasters, increased significantly, such as cutoff rivers, acid rain increased, dust storms continued, desertification, floods, droughts and so on, which is severely effecting on people's production and life, threatening the survival and development of mind. Enhancing environmental protection education and strengthening people's environmental awareness, has become a global common voice of mankind. Since reformation and opening, China has rapid economic development, but increasingly serious environmental problems, so environmental protection is essential for sustained economic development. The party's "17th congress" report emphasized the importance of building a resource-saving and environment-friendly society on the development strategy of industrialization and modernization in a prominent position. Strengthening college students environmental protection education is very important for implementing the scientific development, achieving sustainable development of society and improving the overall quality of the whole nation. Sustainable development and human development are two important issues China facing, "two types society" construction to promote achievement of sustainable development, and ultimately rely on human development, human development depends on education. There is a certain gap between the overall level of environmental awareness Contemporary of college students and the requirements of "two types society" construction. Therefore, environmental protection education must be implemented for college students, and promote coordinated development on environmental awareness and environmental protection behavior of college students.This thesis start with an overview of "two types society" and college students environmental protection education, pointing out the relationship between "two types society" construction and college student environment protection education, and proposes measures to strengthen college students environmental protection education in "two types society" construction by analysing the present situation of environmental protection education about college students. The paper is divided into five parts. The first part is an introduction. The dissertation has an explanation on the research background, the research significance, research status, and the main research methods and innovations are described.The second part is an overview of "two types society" and the environmental education of students. First, detailed discussion of the "society" the background, significance, scientific connotation, basic features. Then, discussed the meaning of environmental education, the emergence and development of environmental education in China's, the environmental education of Western countries and the connotation and necessities of college students environmental education.The third part is the relationship between the "two types society" building between environmental education and college students. Focus on the discussion about the organic relationship between "two types society" Construction and student environmental education, and further discussed the relationship of coordination and development between the "two types society" Construction and college students environmental education.The fourth part is the challenge of college student environment education facing in "two types society" construction. Respectively discussed, from the contradictions between the high demand of "two types society" construction on college students environmental protection quality and the status of college students environmental protection quality; from the contradictions between the attention paid "two types society" to environment education and the system not perfect on college students environment education. This part provides an important reference to strategies to strengthen college students environment education in "two types society" construction.The fifth part is the strategies strengthen college students environment education in "two types society" construction.
