At Present,the new一curriculum reform is developing thoroughly in our country ,that teachers become professionalized by making researches has become a popular idea. However, since long ago, those subjects from the higher authorities have a great gap away from the teachers'present level , besides, which can't solve the teachers'puzzlement in their practical teaching ,so lowering the difficulty of educational scientific research and finding a new proper way which meets the teachers'present teaching research ability have become an inexorable trend in the new period. It is in this situation that the small-topic research approaches the teachers. In this thesis , the senior high school teachers'small-topic research is the object ,by means of survey, the author finds out its present condition, summarizing the achievements and problems, and then giving the constructive suggestion and countermeasures.The dissertation consists of four parts.The first part is introduction. It states the background, key issues, purposes and significance of the research, the connotation of senior high school teachers'small-topic research and the present situation about the teachers'small-topic research at home and abroad.The second part is the introduction of the research method. The author uses the literature analysis, questionnaire survey, interview and case .Firstly, by looking through documents, the author analyses the information about the teachers'small-topic research at home and abroad, and then finds the new ideas and value of the dissertation. Secondly, the author investigates the present situation about the senior high school teachers'making small-topic research in Urumqi. The questionnaire is made up of three parts, covering thirteen aspects of subjects, including the whole situation , the scientific research consciousness, the research purpose, the topic-applying situation and so on .The questionnaire is designed by the author herself. By means of key sample, the investigation is focused on nine senior high schools, which consists of three key senior high schools, three sub-key senior high schools and three non-key senior high schools, and is concerned with one hundred and twenty-nine members and times. Thirdly, the interview is focused on eighteen teachers from the same nine senior high schools. Eventually, the case is focused on a teacher who continuously makes small-topic research and the purpose is to know about her growing process.The third part is the result and analysis about the investigation.By investigating ,the author finds that the senior high school teachers in Urumqi making small-topic research has made some gratifying achievements: First , More and more teachers are applying for small-topic research. Second, some excellent teachers'scientific ability is improving. Third, the research is mostly based on the teaching practices. Fourth, some teachers'research consciousness is strengthening. Meanwhile, there are still some problems: First, wholly, the scientific research power is weak. Second, the teachers'scientific research quality is not high. Third, the whole research consciousness is not enough. Fourth, the research interest is not deep.The cause of the problems comes from four aspects: First, it comes from the teachers. Second, it comes from the schools, including three points: Firstly, the assessment system is not scientific, which lacks the encouraging measures to excite the teachers; secondly, the organization system of school limits the teachers'professional self-determination right; thirdly, the schools lack the fund support for the small-topic research .Third, it comes from the professional guidance and leading: the gap of the cultural value orientation between the university researchers and the senior high school teachers prevents their exchange.Fourth, it comes from the local scientific research organization department and management department. One is that the propaganda and starting the teachers are not enough. The other is that the fund input is insufficient.The fourth part is suggestion and countermeasure.According to the above problems, the author gives the following suggestions: One points to the local scientific research and organization departments .they should strengthen the guidance to small-topic research; besides, they should increase the fund support to encourage more teachers to take part in the research . The second points to the senior high schools: One is that they should perfect the system, another is to rationalize the mechanism, the last is to set up"PDS"mode, impelling the teachers'professional development.The third points to the teachers: One is that they should learn more theories, another is they should improve their research consciousness; the third is that they should explore new research approaches.The author thinks only the three kinds of powers join hands to improve the teachers'enthusiasm and research level and spur them to develop smoothly.
