Reading is a highly important part in primary Chinese teaching, and it plays an essential role in forming reading habits, cultivating reading skills, and improving reading abilities. With the increasing use of multimedia technology, e-reading has become an important reading skill. This study introduces the demands of teaching reforms on the reading classes of primary school, and then it expounds the concept and advantages of e-books, and the theory of e-books applied in reading. In addition, it summarizes the chief research fruits in the field, and probes to find whether e-reading can greatly improve the reading abilities of primary students such as memorizing, understanding, and transferring by experiments. According to the comparison of the questionnaires and scores between experimental group (e-book reading) and control group (traditional reading), the results are to be testified. Finally, the thesis sums up achievements and deficiency of the study, at the same time, it proposes further study in the field.The thesis can be divided into five chapters:Chapter 1 introduces background, purpose, current situation, significance and related information about e-book, also advantages of e-reading.Chapter 2 expounds the design and process of the study. The thesis mainly uses study methods of pedagogical experiment. Based on the hypothesis-e-reading has effects on primary students in their learning results, the experiment is designed, the data is collected and the rer e-reading applied in primary Chinese classes.Chapter 3 analyzes prisult is analyzed. Then, it is testified whether e-reading has effects on primary students and what are the effects, so providing data and basis fomary Chinese reading activities, including traditional reading and e-reading. Based on the theory of diagram type, it probes the design of e-book.Chapter 4 is about the methods of the study, introducing briefly concept and characters of pedagogical experiment. It analyzes subjects and surroundings of the study profoundly. The experiment is designed and developed according to related guiding principles and study plan. At last, it acquires and analyzes data and makes a natural conclusion.Chapter 5 reflects existing problems in e-reading applied in primary Chinese classes on the grounds of experimental data. Finally, it concludes the whole thesis and proposes further study.
