How to choose sports event is today's hot issue.The city managers and the workers of sports event have many factors to consider when planning for sports event.Planning should be people-oriented, which is a basic requirement of planning. The public is the main body of a city,They are sports participants, consumers,they are inseparable for the development of sport events. Therefore, this article want to research the likeness of sports from the perspective of the public. Research their sports likeness will generate urban options more close to public, to better meet their demand, and to better develop sports and sport events. This not only makes up for the lack of current study about likeness of sports field, but also has some practical significance.Through the methods of literature, questionnaire, mathematical statistics, logic analysis, this paper can be divided into two parts.First is the survey results analysis .The questionnaire survey covering the Shanghai Minhang, Huangpu, Xuhui, Changning and Pudong, Zhabei, Putuo, Yangpu District.The main contents of the survey is Shanghai residents sport likeness of 40 sport items. This section focuses on the sport ranking, differences likeness of different groups and the attitude dispersion of some sport items; Second part is the theory research, based on the analysis and summary of many like phenomenon and combined with the first part analysis,This paper further study the meaning of likeness from the philosophy field of two value perspective, analyzes the relationship between likeness and need.The main conclusions are as following:(1) In the sports items ranking of shanghai residents, the top 10 followed by badminton, swimming, table tennis, cycling, basketball, track and field, billiards, tennis, football, gymnastics, top-ranking sports are mostly high public, effective fitness, high watch value and low-cost sports. The last 10 is boxing, fencing, rowing, weightlifting, baseball, marathon, squash, handball, football, hockey, croquet, these sports are mostly not well known to the public, has low watch value, difficult to movement and need high cost for exercise.(2) By different demographic, shanghai residents have different sports likeness, gender and age and income are the main factors causing differences.The level of education can also cause some differences in likeness, but not strong. Shanghai residents in different regions has no significant difference likeness for the sports items.(3) There are some difference about residents' likeness attitude for each sport,The residents' likeness for football is the most obvious difference, with a similar situation also include some ranked in the middle as basketball, volleyball, tennis, car racing.Attitude of residents' likeness are concentrated in two cases, the attitudes highly concentrated in like,such as badminton, swimming, table tennis, bicycles, and other very front rank of sports; the other one is highly centralized dislike,in the after rank sports such as hockey,croquet, squash, rugby, boxing and so on. (4) Likeness is an active need.
