With the continuous development of Sports industry,the implementation of the plan of fitness and popular fitness activities promotion, the sports facilities have been the perfect. Through inheritance and these years'building, Shanghai already have a large number of Sports venues, according to not complete count, there are tens of thousands of sports venues in Shanghai. To master the complete sports basic information and to implement the requirements of digital sports in Shanghai sports "1025" programming, Shanghai Yangpu sports bureau and sports events research center jointly conduct the research on information platform of sports venues. At the same time, the author uses the income data of sports venues in Yangpu doing the research on spatial distribution characteristics of sports venues.In this study, All sports venues in Yangpu as its main research object, until December 2010, In Yangpu, there are about 501 Sports venues in Sports system,156 Sports venues in schools,7 Sports venues in Secondary technical school,130 Sports venues in colleges and 154 Sports venues in other system, 948 place total. This article through the literature material method design sports data structure and sports venues survey registration forms, with on-the-spot investigation method of data collection, data processed and Yangpu sports venues information platform using Google Maps API, finally through the nearest neighboring index (NNI) and concentration areas calculation method to do research on spatial analysis of sports venues in Yangpu.The paper includes 5 parts altogether: Part one is the preface, mainly explain the research background, purpose and meaning of the thesis; Part two is a literature review, first of all, this research classified subordinate to the subject, next to summarize the geographic information system (GIS) and based on GIS spatial analysis, finally, founding related basis for this study design; Part three is research object, content, method and framework; Part four is study result and analysis, including the following contents specifically: Sports venues data structure design research,Sports venues survey forms design research,Sports venues data collection research,research on information platform of sports venues and spatial distribution characteristics of sports venues. Part five is the conclusion,the application of the main conclusion and limitations of the study.Through analyzing, the paper draws the following main conclusions: (1) it is operable to use GIS doing research on information platform and space distribution of sports venues; (2) Now, Research results (The information platform of Yangpu sports venues) is in the application stage and test results showed that platform running normally; (3) Using the Web - GIS, sports venues in Yangpu can be more intuitive and more convenient unfold, its sharing is good and its display information capacity is big, it break through the bottleneck of the traditional map which capacity small and narrow range; (4) it ascertain that the NNI value of Yangpu sports venues is 0.68 by using the nearest neighboring index (NNI) to solve the problem of research on the spatial distribution characteristics, the NNI value showed that Yangpu sports venues is gathered distribution; (5) In Yangpu, there are 16 concentration areas by using the concentration areas calculation method to solve the problem of research on density of sports venues. The result showed that the smaller radius, the higher concentration. From overall see, Zhongyuan road,Xiang Yin road is the demarcation line of concentration areas,bounded on south of Xiang Yin road, concentration of higher mainly concentrated in Wujiaochang town,Wujiaochang street,Jiangpu street,Siping streets,Changbai streets and Yinhang streets.
