PurposeThe purpose of this study was to1) To analysis the effect of muscle work ability ascension on organ system and discuss the relationship between muscle strength and other body mass index .2)To study the proper strength exercise methods for middle-aged and older citizens, and recommend a convenient and effecitive exercise prescription to improve muscle strength of middle-aged and older citizens, provide experimental evidence for future sudies in exercise of muscle strength in this population.Methods55 women aged 50~71 who are Shaoxing opera fans were selected , and were randomly assingned into strength training group and control group . Strength training prescription were conducted in strength training group for 8 weeks. 12 chair exercises and 6 dumbbell exercises were included in each training, Team exercises, on-site guidance and self fatigue degree questionnaire was used to guarantee the quality of strength training. All the subjects kept their eating habits and physical activities. At the end of 8 weeks strength training, observe and analysis the change before and after 8 weeks of body index in all subjects.Results1.Changes in body shape index: After strength training, weight of strength training group increased from 61.02±8.35kg to 61.65±8.07kg, There is statistical difference(p<0.01); weight of control group increased from 56.42±7.78kg to 57.10±7.88kg , There is statisticaldifference (p<0.01); Body fat of strength training group increased from 36.20±4.41% to 37.82±5.53%, There is statistical difference(p<0.001); Body fat of control group increased from 31.55±5.50% to 33.16±5.36%, There is statistical difference (p<0.001); BMI of training group did mot have significant differences (p>0.05),but BMI of control group increased from 23.20±2.98 kg/m2 to 23.59±3.05 kg/m2, there is statistical difference(p<0.001).2.Changes in physical quality index: After strength training, Aneropress of strength training group increased from 377.60±130.6kw to 453.75±116.7kw, There is statistical difference (p<0.01); grip strength of strength training group increased from 22.17±4.85kg to 25.88±4.14kg, There is statistical difference (p<0.001); back strength of strength training group increased from 26.14±9.35kg to 34.91±8.33 kg, There is statistical difference(p<0.001); Reaction Time of strength training group decreased from 0.661±0.377s to 0.480±0.226s, There is statistical difference (p<0.05); Close Eye Foot balance and Sit Up of training group did not have significant differences(p>0.05).grip strength of control group increased from 20.45±4.88kg to 21.94±4.49kg, There is statistical difference (p<0.05), and other index of control group did not have significant differences. 3.Changes in BMD (bone mineral density)index: After strength training QUI/stiffness of training group increased from 61.23±11.06 to 64.83±13.73, There is statistical difference (p<0.05). BMD of training group increased from 0.311±0.070 g/cm~2 to 0.334±0.087 g/cm~2, There is statistical difference(p<0.05).QUI/stiffness and BMD of control group did not have significant differences(p>0.05). BUA and SOS of both training group and control group did not have significant differences compared with that before training.Conclusions1. Strength training can enhance strength quality of the Middle Aged and Elderly Women.2. Strength training can enhance reaction ability of the Middle Aged and Elderly Women. 3. Strength training can increase QUI/stiffness and BMD of middle-aged and older citizens.4. This program is practicable and effective, can be popularized.
