Analysis Of The Current Situation And Influential Factors Of Elementary And High School Students Neglect In The Urban Disticts Of Yinchuan City

Objective Child neglect is a phenomenon which widely exists all over the world. Don't neglect the consequences of child neglect. This study intends to understand the state of child neglect as well as the major relevant risk factors in the urban areas of some elementary and high school students, Yinchuan city.And to give any help for formulating corresponding intervention measures and policies.Methods Using convenience and cluster sampling methods to investigate three elementary and three high school students by evaluation questionnaire in Yinchuan city.The effective sample of the urban students were 3940. Useing t test,ANOVA,chi-square test,logistic regression and multivariate linear regression to annlyze the data. Results The total neglect rate and degree of some elementary and high school students in urban areas of Yinchuan city were 38.9% and 45.47±8.54. There was statistical significance in total neglect rate and degree among different gender, age groups and type of neglect. The boys were much higher and heavie than the girls. The neglect rate of 6-8 years were the highest; The neglect degree of 12-17 years were the heaviest. The neglect rate of social and education layers were the highest;The neglect degree of social and physical layers were the heaviest. The major relevant risk factors of children neglect rate and degree are: gender, age, mother's cultural degree, etc.Conclusion In yinchuan city children neglected phenomenon is not optimistic.
