The Cultivation Of Occupational Consciousness In Contemporary College Students And The Study With Regard To The Reform Of Moral Education

In recent years, college students'occupational consciousness has experienced great changes brought by global financial crisis, switch of human resource allocation mode under the Market Economy condition and related adjustments of domestic regulations and policies. Therefore, the current situation of employment has become more and more severe.In this thesis, it is regarded that occupational consciousness is a psychological process formed concerning occupation selection and developed gradually with individual growth. Occupational consciousness, obviously, is a kind of understanding hold by individuals towards skills, ethics and requirements claimed by target occupation and some main viewpoints about career pursuit and prospect of the job. Occupational consciousness can be mainly divided by consciousness of occupation target, major, responsibility, teamwork, rule, competition and innovation. Currently, the situation of college students'occupational consciousness is not optimistic, mainly manifesting as absent responsibility consciousness, weak teamwork consciousness, unclear professional target and orientation, few career planning and obvious utilitarian career-selection. There are some reasons leading to this current situation of college students'occupational consciousness, like changes of overall social employment environment and individual growing environment, family factors and deficit professional cultivation in Higher Education.Based on the systematical analysis of the current situation and reasons of occupational consciousness cultivation in contemporary college students, this thesis regards that a combination of integrating and reforming moral education in universities and colleges to cultivate and enhance occupational consciousness among college students. These measures have important significance in solving college graduates' employment problems and their professional development, raising adaptation of moral education to times and its pragmaticality.This thesis considers that occupational consciousness cultivation and moral education relate and interact each other. Moral education guides the direction of profession development while occupational consciousness cultivation substantiates connotation of moral education and improves its pragmaticality. As a result, the thesis puts forward five corresponding measures with regard to relationship of occupational consciousness cultivation and moral education—enhancement of situation and policy education, cultivation of entrepreneurship and innovation consciousness in professional ethics education and moral education, preparation for undertaking frustration, laying stress on the theoretical research of occupational consciousness cultivation and accumulation of practical experience.
