America is a country of constitutional democracy education shoulders, citizens for fostering patriotic, informed and responsible, has the good citizens of the American spirit. In the different historical period, the United States citizen education follows the major policies of the state and its education goal is to develop an era characteristics citizens. After World War II, the United States as the world's leading powers, Its economic has rapid development, the education is its timely citizens of a causal relation.From the world war ii to 60 ~ 70s, by World War II, in effect, the United States youth employment crisis, life distress, the United States government immediately launched for the youth education, is mainly to the citizens to adapt to the life, and to lead them to become qualified training of American citizens. It is this generation of youth and later became the backbone of social development forward.
