The quality is the higher education's"life"and"soul". Especially from the collegeexpansion in China since 1999, quality of higher education has always been animportant sector of higher education research, emerged numerously literatures aboutthe higher education quality view research. Today, the higher education qualityresearch already enters the profundal zone. The national level has also given theenough attention to higher education quality. In "National Medium and long-termEducational reform and Development project Summary (2010~2020 Years)"proposedexplicitly "improve the higher education quality comprehensively". Then, whatquality views of high education have mainly emerged in our country recent ten year?What value orientation has these numerous higher education quality views received?What value orientation in our country's future higher education development shouldinsist? These issues require us to study in depth. Therefore, this thesis mainly throughliterature study, through (since1999) our country higher education quality view'ssystem combs in recent ten years, by instrumental rationality and value rationality as aresearch perspective, in order to deep the understanding of higher education qualityview value orientation. Finally propose our country's future higher education qualityview development value orientation, aim to play a leading role in our country'sreform and development of higher education.This thesis through our country higher education quality view's system combs inrecent ten years, mainly analyzed the representative eight kind of higher educationquality view, And based on this concludes the evolution of our country's highereducation quality view's characteristics in recent ten years. That is to highlight thefunctions of higher education as the main entry point; Higher education qualitycriterion of diversity; Higher education value subject diversification. By instrumentalrationality and value rationality as a research perspective, analyzes the valueorientation of the higher education quality which higher education's instrumental lrationality and value rationality always runs through it. Only has highlighted highereducation's instrumental rationality excessively, weakening the rational valueexpression. From current reality of China's higher education popularization, accordingto higher education stakeholders'different value appeals, namely government, social, university, pedagogue's value demand respectively be competitive power, contributionstrength, development strength in full scale development. These value demands isdifferent pursue exactly to the higher education's instrumental rationality and valuerationality.Finally union current our country higher education quality view value orientationand proposed that the future development of higher education quality valueorientation should be the fusion of instrumental rationality and value rationality. Inother words, Quality of higher education value orientation we are pursing is not tomake a choice between instrumental rationality and value rationality, But to promotethe two's fusion and unification. That higher education should not only focus on theinstrumental rationality,also calls for the return of higher education value rationality.
