The instrumental rationality and the value rationality is a pair of rationality.The relationship between them is opposite and unified.They have powerful influence on all of the fields and members in society.Education is a significant part of social system.So it also been effected by the instrumental rationality and the value rationality.The pair of the rationality influenced the aesthetic education of college in China.So the aesthetic education of college in our country advanced rapidly by the Reform and opening-up policy.But there are still some difficulties for the implement of the aesthetic education.The instrumental rationality is helpful for the aesthetic education of college in China,including practicality,the creativity and the logical way of thinking.However,every coin has two sides.The instrumental rationality is also not beneficial for it.Firstly,the aesthetic education of college in China in recent years is tend to be utilitarian,rigid and quantitative.The value rationality brings beneficial effects for the aesthetic education of college in our country.lt is beneficial to strengthen the status,content,subjective feelling for the aesthetic education of college.But when the value rationality has been developed extremely,it brings some prolbems.On one hand,the university aesthetic education and the practice is isolated.On the other hand,the content of aesthetic education is illogical.In order to motivate the development of the university aesthetic education in China,it is necessary to strengthen the integration of the instrumental rationality and the value rationality.
