Improving athlete抯 exercises level has been an important studying subject in sports science for many years. Throughout the world, many scientists had done many research both in different points of view and in different methods. In sports medicine realm, many scientists had used many methods, including steroid, growth hormone, blood doping (This method had been banned), caffeine, trace elements, vitamine and many medicines to enhance exercises level. But few reports had been relative to improve collagenous protein synthesis and complement organic trace elements all of series. Collagenous protein is the most protein in organism. In these organic protein, collagenous protein occupies about a quarter percent or a third percent. Collagenous fibers are through everywhere in our body. It is an important component in bone, muscle and tendon. Because bone, muscle and tendon also are major organs of sport, so collagenous protein is an important material of based on sport and it has more effect on enhancing exercises level. So the study which measured how to improve collagenous protein synthesis is a very significant subject for delaying sports life and improving exercises level. Eucommia ulmoides Oliv is an famous and precious traditional Chinese medicine. Many years ago, Chinese people thought it was one of the best quality Chinese herb medicine for its effects such as strengthening function of the internal organs (heart, bone and muscles) and preventing senescence, etc. In China, an old medical book, 揝hen Nong Ben Cao Jing? described the efficacy of Eucommia ulmoides such as to praised, 揈ating longer can strengthen the muscles and bone, 3 promote blood circulation, delay the life? At present, the results of scientific researchs have showed that Eucommia ulmo ides could recover animal抯 collagenous protein losted in the experiments of outer space. So we devise this research to further testify the effect of Eucommia ulmoides on exercises level through improving collgaenous proteir抯 synthesis and supplying organic trace elements over-all.And the purpose of the research is also to built some bases, including how to improve collagenous protein in theory and how to improve physical fitness in practice for body health exercises in all, especially providing a high-quality sports nutritious tonic for competitive sports. The study has three parts. One part is animal experiment. We can testify the effect of Eucommia ulmoides on improving collagenous protein synthesis and exercises level through the experiment. Two groups mice (the strain of kung Ming) were used in the method. One group are younger mice and the another group are older mice. Each group divide into three sub-groups including moving sub-group moving and provided Eucommia ulmoides medicine sub-group, comparison sub-group. The change of hydroxy proline抯 metabolism which is specifically contained in collagen of muscles, bones, hearts, the lungs, skins, bloods, urine and the change of moving level relative were measured in the study. The result shows that collgenous protein synthesis抯 capability of muscle, bone, skin, heart and the lungs of mice in the moving and provided Eucommia ulmoides medicine sub- group has remarkablely increased.
