In stead of being carefully insiructed, the student is granted with enough room for thinking and imagination and the chance of raising questions and discussing with others. They are expected to go beyond the limitation of the article to find the answer not known before with their in born primitive of searching for new things and to make some creative findings. This presentation discusses the innovative teaching of Chinese reading in four parts: Defining the implication of the innovative teaching of Chinese reading on the base of an overall description. Li.. Discussing the necessary of the innovative teaching of Chinese reading, explaining it is the inevitable out coming of the reformation of Chinese reading education, the requirement of creative education. Discussing the possibility, proving it to be feasible from three aspects: its special advantage~. the characteristic of the student抯 intellection and the 揺xample? function of the new textbook. ~ Discussing the implementation of the innovative teaching of Chinese reading. This is the main part of the presentation which is debated from four aspects: First the use of open reading method, it gives the student a chance to express his real thoughts and problems and to discuss with other students to show his own opinion. Second the improvement of aesthetical-chart. Composed of literature-chart-, live-chart and emotion-chart. It抯 the foundation of the teaching of in innovative reading in that only after the prospective, the impletion and the choice-making roles of the aesthetical-chart have been applied, can the reading activities be carried out and creativities and specialties be presented. The third is the creative figure-imagination, which is the core of the teaching of innovative reading. Imagination is a vital part in the figure-imagination. All of the passages are imaginations. So that creativity is always accompanying the teaching of innovative reading. It mainly lies in the empty imagination and the spreading imagination. The former refers to the 揺mptiness?of the passage, requiring the student to find it and make best use of it. The latter refers to the inaccuracy of the figures, the topic in articles. Requiring the student to think from all directions to find the questions and the answers to them. The fourth is the instruction in the appreciative reading. The appreciate reading is the experience, the feeling and the comment on the beauty in articles--A process combines reading activities and emotion experiences in one. It contains comparative appreciative reading and problem-finding appreciative reading. Comparing makes new discoveries while problem-finding helps the student to find new answers They are all concrete manifestations of the innovative reading.
