The Research On Higher Education Regionalization In China

This thesis is focus on chinese higher education regionalization. It includes four sections as the following: The first section is background analysis about higher education regionalization, including international background and domestic background. On one hand, higher education regionalizat ion is common tendency of the development of higher education in the world. On the other hand, it is connected with impact of regional economy, outside pushing force of market梕conouiy--system and the inner driving force of reformation of higher梕ducat ion梞anagement梥ystem. The second section is theoretical exploration about higher education regionalization. It includes conception, theoretical base and functional orientation. The writer not only explains the concept of higher education regionalization, but also distinguishes it from relative concepts. It theoretical foundation is from four theories: social adapting theory, functional expanding theory, harmonious developing theory and integrating theory. Its functional orientation lies in whole adaptation function, regional cooperation function and systematic perfection function. The third section analyses the obstructive factors about higher education regionalization. It includes state level, regional system level, and higher education level. The final section puts forward strategy to solve problems. Under the guidance of reformatory target of higher educational system in China, higher education regionalization should overcome present problems from three levels. The state should reform system and make legal system perfect. The regional system should strengthen integrating force and make machinery sound. The higher education Institutions should have reasonable target and definite goal.
