[Abstract] With the rapid development of the communication and the network technology, Internet is coming into the many fields of society and changing the way of life and extending the spaces of the CAl. Currently, the Internet distance learning has many problems; one of them is the lack of the excellent web courseware. Besides the barrier of the technology, I? the main reason is these are few tools, which can develop web-based courseware easily for the teachers and the courseware makers. So, the research of the web courseware authoring system has practical meaning and good perspective. The dissertation of this article is based on the analyses.~ design and implementation of the web梑ased courseware development tool which is developed by the author. The authoring system is based on the CAT theory~ CAT courseware theory and the authoring system theory. It adopts information process mode. Because it is hard for the courseware which be consisted of only HTML to control the teaching process and the interactions between courseware and learner is stiff, the author brings forward a solution to using JavaScript. At first, the article introduces the theory~. the tendency of CAL and the conception functions of the courseware authoring system. Furthermore, the article also introduces the technologies, which widely used in web courseware. Then, the author developed a visual web梑ased courseware authoring system. It is a visual development environment and easily to use. It can produce web梑ased courseware without writing any HTML and JavaScript code. Finally, the author developed a courseware by this system to test the functions and pointed out the problems that have not been solved. MASTERS THESIS...
