Nowadays, men's economic activities have entered the knowledgeable economic age, which is symbolized by highly advanced technology. Thus, it requires that students should have reformative and creative abilities. However, the cultivation of physics-model thinking ability has been neglected in physics teaching for a long time. As a result, it discourages- students to have scientific studying ways. According to the features of the studied objects, such as shape, size, moving process, state and structure etc, physics model is a kind of highly abstract and idealized body, conception and process. Also, physics-model focuses on main factors, not minor factors. It plays its role in making abstract objects concrete; making complicated objects simple.. It is the foundation of finding regularities. Not only does it encourage people to have imagination but also directs scientific physics studying ways. Model-thinking is the basic and most widely used way in physics studies. This kind of way of study can extend to some other studying fields. From the middle school physics teaching practices, we realize that we can develop middle school students' physics model-thinking ability by in-class teaching and out-class activities.
