College students' value outlook controls and regulates their behaviors, and influences the social stabilization. College students of the same times may form the same value outlook. However, since different types of college students are facing different specific situations, their value outlook can be various. Based on previous studies, this article focuses on the comparative research of different types of college students' value outlook. The research will enrich and perfect the research theory on value outlook, and will provide theory to effectively strengthen the education of value outlook for different types of college students.This thesis begins with the theoretical and practical significance of the research, and the enhancement of education of college students' value outlook. With survey and documents, it systematically compares and analyzes the similarity and difference of different types of college students' value outlook to help them well build up their value outlook. The thesis can be divided into the following three parts.Part one is about the general description, research significance and methods of college students' value outlook. First, it probes into the meanings of value and value outlook, and analyzes the relationship between value outlook and college students' achievement and social development. Second, it clarifies the important theoretical and practical significance of research on the value outlook of different types of college students, and puts forward the thinking and research methods of combining qualitative study and example study.Based on documents and statistics from the survey, part two is a systematic comparison and analysis of the value outlook of different types of college students. It respectively compares and analyzes college students' value outlook on life, on politics, on moral, on knowledge, on inter-personal relationship, and on career, etc. The students range from male to female, those of arts to those of science and engineering, senior ones to junior ones, top ones to ordinary ones, those from the coastal areas to those from the inland areas, and only child ones to non only child ones, ft states the common characteristics and differences in different value outlook of different types of college students. It concludes that: 1. modern college students' value outlook isgradually becoming ripe, and its formation and development are influenced by various factors; 2. its main trend is positive, but there is still something not in accordance with the social development; and 3. there are some differences about the value outlook of different types of college students, but there is generally much more similarities than differences.Part three is about the education measure aiming at the characteristics and existing problems about college students and their value outlook. First, attention must be paid to educating college students value outlook according to the changing times and the trend of the value outlook development. Next, the education of value outlook must be in accordance with the differences in different types of college students. Then strength must be put on college students' core value outlook, that is, the value outlook on life, on politics, and on moral. Forth, students' initiative in value outlook education must be encouraged, and their value outlook should be perfected. Fifth, the contents of value outlook education should be enriched in accordance with the development of the times, in other words, the field and methods of value outlook education must be enlarged according to the new requirement of the socialist market economy and to the economic globalization and the development of knowledge economy, and at the same time, the contents of moral education must be enlarged and mental education and psychological services must be provided. And finally, the roles of school, family and society in the value outlook education must be brought into full action.
