The development of the Internet and the formation of the web society see the emergence of the "virtual social group".It has five distinct features : computer mediated communication.interaction regardless of space and time.language and signs particular to the Internet communication, an environment favorable to formation and expansion of the weak tie and interaction platform with hi-tech support, Among numerous virtual social groups, the college netizen group makes an ideal subject for research on the overall virtual society with its uniqueness and special function. Now 90.2% of college students are netizens, who assemble in the net to satisfy their expressive needs and instrumental needs. This netizen group further falls into two sub-categories: the formal ones and the informal ones. Compared with the actual college-student social group, the virtual one demonstrates unique characteristics in terms of students' learning behavior, social interaction, consuming behavior,romantic love and deviance, etc. Development of the Internet influences the college netizen group by presenting its members with both challenges and opportunities.In the Internet, communication environment , cultural background and net-relevant behavior problems and sure to affect college students' socialization. Necessary adjustments should be made to reduce the negative impact from social changes when we reflect on the objective and method for college students' socialization. Possible adjustments may include the establishment of objective model and the method model of this socialization process. Meanwhile, great importance should be attached to guidance in the Internet use as well. Thus we are likely to fully implement the Internet brought forth by modern technology and exert a positive Influenc on healthy,all-round development of college students.
