Investigation On A Net-learning Platform And Net-exam Related Issues

Net-learning is a modern distance education system which integrates a number of technologies such as multi-media,database etc. Based on the actual requirements of net-learning,this thesis investigates net-learning system model,and analyzes the functionality of the net-learning platform in great details. After abstracting and decomposing the system functions and structure,system block design,data structure and security issues are accomplished. The emphasis is placed on the investigation and realization of several key modules related to net-exam in this net-learning platform.Based on the analysis of general principle of net-exam script database,this thesis discusses the net-exam script database design in detail according to the requirements of net-exam procedure. In order to keep flexible,random and unique script item selection,this thesis proposes and realizes appropriate algorithm of generating exam scripts,and algorithm of selecting randomly the script items.Net-exam is a major part of net-learning. This thesis presents various key algorithms of designing and realizing net-exam environment,net-exam flow,automatic assessment,and score management. The related implementation matters are also discussed in detail. Then,in analogy to the manual assessment of the exam scripts,an algorithm,by using fuzzy theory to assess the subjective questions,is proposed and analysed in detail. It is a useful attempt to try to solve the automatic subjective question assessment which would have to be done traditionally by manual effort.By analyzing the characteristics of traditional tutoring process,the requirements of net-answering are investigated,the knowledge point based question classification and storage method are discussed,designed and implemented.
