The Information and Communications Technology (ICT), especially the birth and fast expansion of the Internet is bringing a global learning and teaching revolution of English, which gives new requirements of knowledge level and teaching abilities as well as enormous challenge to the K12 English teachers in China. The thesis suggests that the key function of ICT is communication and the functional essence of English language ability is also communication. So, the key to technology training of English teachers is to take such trainings with the same essence into reality together with integrating both of them. To capture the same functional essence is to get the bridge between ICT training and ELT. The ICT training of K12 English teachers must be carried out under new theories and combine ICT with K12 English learning and teaching by considering with the same functional essence as "C" (communication) of both ICT and ELT.The thesis tries to shape a training model of K12 English teachers by surrounding the functional essence of "C" as well as the integration of both ICT and English learning & teaching after carefully studying the training models of David Eastment and those in UK, USA and in China. With knowing the gap, borrowing the successful experience at home and abroad, the paper brings forward a new theory for K12 English teachers' training and forms a new model which is with "C" as the foundation after practice and pondering. This model can give some practical and operative ways to the ICT training of English teachers in our country.There are four parts in the thesis: the first is the narration of background, purpose, value and methods; the second is the review of actuality and trend of K12 language teacher training at home and abroad; the third part discusses the design, practice, effect analysis, thinking and summing-up of the research model; the fourth part is the result and suggestions.
