According to such social background, this paper presents a theory of harmony of marriage and family.This paper, from the angle of sociology, ethics and the science of law, constructs an ideal and harmonious frame of marriage and family and explores the effective ways to achieve it.As we know, the harmony, the core of the green civilization of 21 century, has become a kind of new strategy for human being's living and development. According to this, this paper also explores the new strategies for making the marriage and the family being harmonious. That is the harmony between the members of the family, the harmony inside oneself and the harmony between the person and the society. Of the ways to make these all come true, the improvement of the quality of the people is the foundation stone, the reconstruction of the ethics of marriage and family is the spirituous motive power, and the perfection of the Marriage Law is the guarantee.
