Research On Marital Mode And Family Relation Of Jiang Cun Village

The paper selects a common village in Wujiang city which is called as Kaixuangong village (i.e. Jiangcun), and makes a tentative study on modern marriage modes for this village and their influence on family relationships by a data collecting method combined questionnaire with Literature and visiting. Marriage modes contain ambil-anak marriage, espouse marriage and wives from other places. Family relationships are mainly family intergenerational relationship and connubiality. Different type of marriage modes has different influence on family relationships.Because they are two notable phenomena for ambil-anak marriage and wives from other places among marriage modes, and the problem of intergenerational relationship is much outstanding, so the paper mainly compares with all kinds of marriage modes, especially the different influences of two marriage modes (ambil-anak marriage and wives from other places) on family intergenerational relationship, including intergenerational habitation arrangement, economic relation, power relation succession mode, the relation between wife and mother-in-law and so on under different marriage modes. Meantime, the paper reveals the changes of ambil-anak marriage and other marriage modes appeared under the influence of policy of family planning, especially for the marriage tendence of rural society in the future.
