Fairness of Education is the common ideal and good sought by the society.To realize it great efforts and achievements have been made in the long run.In recent years, educational experts in china have reviewed the problem from different perspectives,heated discussion and different opinions arose. To deal with the problems and to practice, the paper makes an overall exploration from the angles of theory and practice with the methods comparasive analysis, historical review and documentary investigation.The paper consists of four parts.Part I is concept and historical change of fairness of education.Five different opinions on the subject are distinguished, including Chinese and western ones.comments is made on these opinions. Meanwhile some relative concepts are given an explaination.The another thinks "Educational fairness is empathy and rationalness to the educational subjects and evaluation subjects."Empathy is in live with the ideal of the individuals and reasonableness concerning the origin,development of educational fairness.Charateristics of educational fairness are disclosed and its future direction is also predicted.Part II is about the practice and achievements of fairness of education after the liberation.9-year compulsive education is carried out.There are few young illiterates. High school and higher education are greatly developed.The situation of women education is improved.Adult education achieved a lot.All these are made under the condition of"Big education in poverty".one can imagine the hardship.Part III is about the present situation of fair education and makeanalysis on the external restriction on and the internal reasons for the problems of fairness of education in China. We can seen from opportunity,course and result of education in light with the theory of fairness of education.Marx`s and Lenin`s opinions are used to distinguish the essential difference concerniog fairness of education between China and the capitalist countries.The main external restriction on the problem of fairness of education in China are binary structure,radical educational policy,traditional culture and family background.The internal reasons are exams of institutiontized education and elite education,the quantity of teachers.Part IV is the practical choice of fairness of education in China.The problem of fairness of education should be solved gradually according to the present state situation,present education on the base of developing economy. In the course of sloving the problems, system creation is essential.Improvement of the quality of the teachers and establishment of the democratic realition between the teachers and students are the classroom requirement. Further realization of the goal makes the ideas of inclusive education and lifelong education nessary.The problem of fairness of education is a complex one, which involves many branches of science and many factors, to completely and precisely solve it needs time.However, with the development and improvememt of the society, with common efforts of the people.we are reasonable to believe its realization in China.
