| The development of the cyber network marks the new era in the history of human civilization, for the Cyber Age has brought about fundamental changes in the means of social production and the way of human life. Therefore, it becomes a research task of higher educators to fully consider, from the perspective of cyber civilization, the development of cyber network and its influence, and in particular, its interaction with higher education.This dissertation, based on an analysis of the connotations of cyber civilization, reveals the consistency of the ultimate objectives of both cyber civilization and higher education: the full development of human society and that of the individual person. Besides, it studies the differences of "cyber-style" higher education from and its influence on the traditional "duplication-style" higher education, In addition, it explores the interaction of higher education with cyber economy, cyber culture, and cyber morality, together with the opportunities and challenges and strategies facing higher education. Finally, the article proposes some new concepts of higher education development in the Cyber Age: The concept of sustainable development of life-long education, the concept of educational function of computerized campus, the concept of education administration of cyber environment, the concept of educational ecological balance of sciences and humanities, the concept of educational reform of digitalized teaching, and the concept of education in the global context. |
