Project learning is a kind of activity which is carried out with self-doing, opening and discovering mind, on condition that there are available varieties of teaching resources. How is project learning applied? We experiment with the students of Class 7 and Class 8 , grade 2004 of Xi'an No 6. Senior High School.The experiment is divided into 3 aspects: Project learning in mathematics class; After-class activities based on making mathematics model ; and project learning with in and out school activities. According to this experiment , the conclusions that we can draw are as fllows:I.It has following advantages for students to learn mathematics. (l)It can develop students' motivation and self-doing of using knowledge. (2) It can arouse curiosity and creativity of students. (3) It is good for training capacity of analysis and solving problems of students.2.It can help students to have correct attitude and emotion of mathematics learning. Also, it is beneficial for improving the relationship between teachers and students, and students and students.3.Project learning has active effect on mathematics learning, which will be useful for other subjects leaning.4.Project learning on mathematics has little effect on improving students' examination marks. However, it helps to improve the learning method of students and develop their ability in learning mathematics.
