The teaching of Chinese reading is rather time-consuming but a little ineffectual. This thesisinitiates a new reading teaching method-Research-reading which is based on analyzing the current condition of reading teaching. It also makes an effect to explore the pratical value of the new teaching method through a deep study of the occurring background and the base of the theories and also guiding the students to practise researching to promote Chinese reading teaching to grow healthily. Researching-reading is an application of the researching through the teaching of reading in Chinese.Research-teaching is to set the situating similar to that for science research during the course of teachingto stimulate the students to collect documents or material related to certain research topic or problems with teachers' intructions and do practical researching reading. It is a form of study of getting particular results through firsthand practice and fosterting Chinese language attainments during the course of result forming. It is of opening and challenge ; of independence and exploration ; of information and cooperation; of innovation and indefinition. Due to that textbooks are still main media to cultivate the students' study ability , classroom-teaching is still a common form of organizing learning, class is still main space of ordinary teaching, to bring out the practical value of the new metheod, it is divided into three typesione is using textbooks as researching topics; one, developing the researching valueof textbooks ; one, eliciting researching monographs from textbooks. Its implementing strategies are managing strategy of organizations, guiding of processes, directing of methods and evaluating of researching reading levels. We expect it should be helpful to making greater progress in Chinese reading that we research and explore into the Researching-reading.
