Since 1960s, the study of thinking strategy in solving problem is one of the important researches in psychology and pedagogy. But the experimental training study of thinking strategy of definite subject problem solving is seldom done by us in middle school in China.This study employs the experimental designing mode of the experiment-group and the control-group before and after experiment training, and uses "a training program of thinking strategy in chemical calculation problem solving" which is published by ourselves. The experimental objects includes the students of the three grades in six senior middle schools. The experimental training time is about 10 weeks and one hour per week.Form the results, it concludes that:1. After the thinking strategy training, the students in senior middle school make an obvious improvement in solving chemical calculation problems.2. The effects of the experimental training in ordinary school is much more obvious than that of key school.3. In the different intelligent groups of the same grade, the students can improve their ability in solving chemical calculation problems effectively through the training. And there is no obvious difference in the scores of the chemical calculation problem solving between different groups.4. The effects of the thinking strategy training in grade two is much more obvious than that of the other two grades.The article consists of five parts.In the fourth part, it discusses the characters of thinking strategy in solving chemical calculation problems, the effective training, the influnent factors, the principles of training and the methods of training in details according to the results of the study and the practice.To sum up, it is necessary to add the thinking strategy training of chemical calculation problem solving to the definite subject teaching process. This article insists that the students' ability in solving chemical calculation problems can be improved by the thinking strategy training.
