The essence of mathematics teaching is a process that students, guided by teachers, actively construct the cognitive structure of mathematics and make themselves all-round developed. The fundamental task of mathematics teaching is to train students' good cognitive structure of mathematics and, thereby, to promote students' ability to solve questions. A good cognitive structure of mathematics is characterized by usability, being distinguishable and stability. The major teaching strategy of constructing good cognitive structure of mathematics are as follows: to be familiar with students' previous cognitive structure of mathematics; to create good environment for questioning; to establish quite perfect structure of mathematical knowledge so as to provide conditions for building good cognitive structure of mathematics; to adequately given play to teaches' rule of guidance, to bring students' subjective initiative into play, and to perfect the cognitive structure of mathematics. The following conclusions can be reached through experimental research on how to develop the first grade junior middle school students' good cognitive structure of mathematics:1. During mathematics learning of the first grade junior middle school students, it can inspire students' learning interest and change their learning attitude by training good cognitive structure for them.2. During mathematics learning of the first grade junior middle school students, it can foster students' varied mathematical abilities by cultivating good cognitive structure mathematics.3. During mathematics learning of the grade junior middle school students, it can raise students' scholastic grade. Enlightenment of teaching: an environment for questioning should be amply created in classroom teaching of mathematics; students should be allowed to fully participate in the discovery process of knowledge; to promote the assimilation of cognitive structure by making good use of the law of migration; to realize the transformation of knowledge structure to cognitive structure by revealing the thinking process and pinpointing the thinking method of mathematics; to consolidate and perfect students' cognitive structure by devising coherent practice elaborately; to induce and arrange cognitive structure; to feedback and adjust cognitive; to put use of emotional teaching.
