Constructivism, which originated from the studying of the cognitive development of children, has now formed not only new learning theory but also new teaching theory. The theory of constructivism emphasized that the learning activities were student centered and that students were not passive recipients of knowledge which was taught by teachers but active constructioners of information, on the other hand, teachers no longer served as pipelines and sought to transfer their thoughts and meanings to the passive students, they should change from the role of transmitters of knowledge into the role of helpers, Organizers and promoters during the students' cognitive construction of knowledge. Clearly, a lesson based on constructivism would differ greatly from the traditional teacher-as-lecturer class type, so the reform of instructional design for mathematical class became very necessary. The paper just put forward a new instructional design pattern for mathematical classroom based on Constructivism. The paper included four partsThe first and second parts were basic theories of constructivism and instructional design. It mainly discussed the background, the development, the idea of mathematics teaching and learning of constructivism and the main content of instruction design. The third part was about teaching design and teaching practice based on the theory of constructivism. It mainly discussed the new ideas the teachers should have, the principles during teaching designing, at the same time, it gave out a new kind of instructional design pattern. At last, it gave out a class of teaching about mathematical induction based on these theories of constructivism and teaching deign. The Fourth part was about obstacles and suggestions during the teaching designing.
