In the September of 2001, the New Curriculum Reform of Basic Education entered into the stage of implementation. The New Curriculum Reform is not a simple adjustment of curriculum content, but a renewal of educational idea, a reform of personnel training pattern and a reform of basic education affected by the curriculum reform. The teachers are critical for the new curriculum reform. So it's necessary to study teachers' professional development linking the new curriculum reform. Teachers' professional development is a progress in that teachers' internal professional qualities are enriched and improved. Based on the teachers' professional qualities, I will analyze the influential factors, the basic constructions and the stages of teachers' professional development, and try to find some laws of teachers' professional development and advance some suggestions to promote teachers' professional development and to offer some basis for the basic education and teachers' education.The dissertation consists of five parts.Part one is an introduction, which mainly introduces the reason of the study, the significance of the study, the main train of thought and the methods of the study.Part two is an analysis of the meaning of the teachers' professional development, investigation of teachers' professional quality, problems and an analysis of the influential factors. In this part, I will analyze the meaning of the teachers' professional development, investigate the teachers' professional quality, then analyze the influential factors of the teachers' professional quality.Part three is an analysis of the basic construction of teachers' professional development, in which I will analyze the basic construction of teachers' professionaldevelopmentPart four is an analysis of the stages of teachers' professional development. In this part, I will try to analyze the states of teachers' professional development in every stage, and find out the characteristics of teachers' professional development in every stage.Part five are some tactics of promoting teachers' professional development. In this part, I'll try to make some suggestions about how to promote teachers' professional development.
