In June2001, the ministry of education issued a "reform program of the basic educationcourse (try out)", then after five years, the new round curriculum reform executed in anational-wide spread. In July of2010,the central committee of the Party and the state councilissued the national long-term education reform and development plan for (2010-2020), which hasbecome the guiding document,will be the national education reform and development’s guidancein the next period. As the elementary school mathematics is an important component part of thebasis education, it became the focus of the curriculum reform. And as “the full-time compulsoryeducation mathematics curriculum standard (experiment draft)” promulgated, the newmathematics curriculum reform in our country also officially unveiled. Teacher is the keyinfluence factors of the curriculum reform and development, and teachers’ professionaldevelopment is a hot spot problem for the current teachers’ research, it has also become one of thethemes of the contemporary education development and reform. This study takes some elementaryschool mathematics teachers of the city of Ganzhou as the research object, by making an empiricalanalysis to the elementary school teachers’ professional development within the scope of the cityof Ganzhou, in order to find the road of the elementary school mathematics teacher’s professionaldevelopment in the city of Ganzhou.This article tries on the basis of the literature study, mainly utilizes questionnaireinvestigation, and assisted by interview method to analyse the elementary school mathematicsteacher’s professional development situation of the teachers in the city of Ganzhou, in order tounderstand the main problems such as professional development concept, developingmodel,development policy and evaluation system existing in the development of the elementaryschool mathematics teachers in the city of Ganzhou. According to the problems, combined withChina’s new curriculum reform’s request to the elementary school mathematics teacher’sprofessional development, the author tries to put forward some Suggestions as follows: The firstthing is to update the elementary school mathematics teacher idea; The second one is to improvethe elementary school mathematics teacher”s professional development mode; the third one isto reform the elementary school mathematics teacher development policies; The last one is toinnovation the elementary school mathematics teacher evaluation system.
