Juvenile delinquency is one kind of ubiquitous social phenomena of a lot of country, and it has been listed as the third social effects of pollution, which after the taking drug, drug traffic and environmental pollution. It has also become serious social problem in our country. Plenty of studies discovered that lack of the legal awareness is the important self-reason that causes the juvenile to commit a crime. Therefore, it has been extremely urgent to reinforce the legal education of the juvenile. It can improve their ability of distinguishing the right and wrong, and foster their good quality of abiding by the law and discipline.In the modern society governed by law, person's legal awareness and their behavior abiding by the law are one kind of important qualities. They are essential quality of modern person. It is the important aspect of the quality-oriented education of the school to carry on the legal education to juvenile. However, legal education is still a weak link in the education of elementary school and high school, which needs to reinforce both in theory and practice.Our country's legal education for the juvenile has been subordinated to the category of ideological political education for a long time, while multivariate research on the legal education was poor. The present Research is normally on the theory of legal education, which lack of demonstrational research. Now the demonstrational research that is going on emphasizes in the research of the courses and pattern of legal education. The research of student's legal consciousness is poor comparatively, let alone special research aiming at specific law. The study is from the point of psychology, pedagogy and law, and takes "The People's Republic of China prevents minor's crime law" and "The People's Republic of China protects minor law" as the major content. The paper studies the characteristics of junior high school students' legal awareness by questionaire method and interview method. Based on that, the paper also works out a new Legal Awareness Scale and Simulant LegalCircumstances Questionnaire for Junior High School Students as the measuring tool. Then the research has the natural experiment for educational intervention collectively.Conclusions of the paper are the following:i. The study of legal knowledge of junior high school students is not systematic enough and the knowledge of "two laws" they have gained is very poor. However, the students know the general law idea, and their general reaction of legal feelings and legal behavior is proper, which doesn't match with the legal knowledge they have gained.ii .The new Legal Awareness Scale for Junior High School Students has high internal homogeneity reliability, construction and content validity. The Simulant Legal Circumstances Questionnaire for Junior high School Students has high content validity. They can reflect the junior high school students' legal awareness objectively.iii. The questionnaire investigation shows that students' consciousness of utilizing law to think problem and solve problem is rather weak, and the legal stipulation they known is also very poor. It reflects that students' juristic act response is not in conformity with their real behavior reason and their idea, which proves that the student knows how to do, but does not know why want to do so while meeting the legal problem. Therefore, it is necessary to intervene the education that they carried on legal cognition.iv. Through intervening training, the students' legal cognition has taken place remarkable change. The students' legal rights idea and law appraisement ability have risen notably, and the reasonable analysis of legal circumstances problem and the proper behavior obviously increased. The situation grew obviously from the judgement of behavior consequence as well as the condition that thinks deeply and solves problem with law.
