It's important to know what's going on in gifted girls education research .As it's one of the key parts in comparative study of gifted and talented education in the United States, but up to now there is no any systematic study about the research trends either in the United States or in China. So this dissertation with intentions to make contribution to the improvement of gifted girls education in theory and practice in China, and deep my reflective thinking on my own self-actualization, will focus on current research trends of gifted girls education in the United States by case study of Roeper Review at different angles such as subject (or author), theme, method, and research conclusion.The whole paper in three parts: part one with title introduction focuses on literature reviewing and the research paper designing; part two as a concrete analysis of the case Roeper Review concentrates on analyzing the current research trends and characteristics of gifted girls education in the United States; part three as a conclusion mainly summarizes five trends as to what we can draw from the case study and provides some suggestions as to what we can learn from the case as well.
