In the past20years, the mathematics educational experts and educators in China onthe basis of the national, regional counterparts on the research results, the theory andpractice of solving problem has carried out extensive research, to explore strategies andrules to solve the problem from multiple angles and direction, have made great progress. But how to improve the low-proficiency learners of math problem solving ability is stillworthy of attention of educators to question. This article in view of the current situationof the junior middle school stage low-proficiency learners of math and science studentsaccounted for high proportion, comparative study of gifted students with the maindifference of inferior students in problem solving, analysis and problem-solving in theprocess of the students of different levels of the reasons for the differences, to help theeffective formation of inferior students solving strategy, change inferior students inmathematics learning difficulties, effectively improve the learning achievement. This study focuses on maths gifted students and poor students in solving theproblems of the differences. Through the interview and analysis process of solvingproblems as a case study of six middle school students. Including three low-proficiencylearners of math and three mathematically gifted. The test problems include the juniormiddle school mathematics knowledge of "number and Algebra","graphics andgeometry","probability and statistics" three fields, each field of the two problems, ofwhich there are two comprehensive problem. Research mainly in the form of the oralreport method to test and interview on the object of study, a detailed analysis of theirproblem solving process. The main conclusions are as follows:First, By comparing the three excellent students and three inferior students insolving the interview and mathematical problems in different, these two types ofstudents in solving mathematical problems exist great differences. On reflection ofmathematics learning and psychological science eugenics and inferior students inmetacognitive skill level, the question step, mathematics thoughts and beliefs, questionsare very different. Second, Aspects of the students with learning of poor students in mathematicalproblem solving causes bigger difference mainly has: the students master the basicknowledge of firm structure, with metacognitive ability and autonomous learningawareness. And the basic knowledge of the master is messy, chaotic, to solve theproblem of leakage storms mechanical and rigid thinking. There is fear in solvingproblems, lack of self-confidence. Through the interview to understand some of thestudents with learning difficulties as a part of the knowledge did not master, leading tothe back of the contents can not keep up, resulting in fracture of knowledge chain, sothat mathematics achievement has been lagging behind.Third, We should differences between primary school students to reduce from thefollowing aspects and inferior students: start from the basic knowledge, to avoidbreaking the knowledge chain; improve the metacognitive ability inferior students; payattention to inferior students learning situation, training students in the mathematicslearning interests; promoting the students with learning the learning exchange helpstudents learn, students learning experience.
