Inquiry learning of geography, regarded as a new learning approach, is an important channel and carrier that cultivates the student's capacity for practice and creativity, as well as the teacher's. It is important and essential to initiate the form of geographic course and the learning approach of students in the middle school.This thesis adopts the principle of the unity of theory and practice. On the basis of the theory of Pedagogy, Psychology, learning theory methodology, Curriculum teaching theory and other relative theories, with the material of subject experience, combining with my own experience in geography teaching, it elaborates on the concept and the features. The theoretical basis of the Target-orientated, basic demands and target- cultivated. The content, methods and process of implement. The teacher's guiding strategy in the process and the psychological process of the students. As well as the evaluating ideas, the evaluating keys and the cases.It also equips high schools with certain theoretical guide and operating illustration to carry out inquiry learning of geography, meanwhile it also steps out a practical pace for the implement of the New Course standard.
