We are carrying out an educational innovation that is focused on the development of creativity nationally. How can the development of creativity be embodied in our daily education and instruction? As a prevalent educational theory in home and overseas, constructivism has drawn more and more attention. At the same time, computer based multimedia courseware is popular in the teachers and students with its simulative experiment and flexible application.The learning theory of constructivism calls for teacher-instructed and student-centered learning. The learning situation of constructivism includes four elements: context, collaboration, conversation and meaning constructing. Thus we define the instructional model corresponding to the constructivism theory and constructive learning situation as: "student-centered, teachers are the organizer, the mentor, the helper, the promoter. They use the elements of learning situation such as the context, the collaboration and the conversation to give full play to the initiative, positivity and creativity of students, so that the students can construct the meaning of the knowledge they learned effectively. "Multimedia brings the students digital information rich of pictures, words, images and sounds, but it also brings some problems that must be considered. For example, multimedia can make the instruction interactive, how can we make the best of it? How can we use the multimedia for learning instead of teaching? Should we regard technology as a means of innovation or the breakthrough point and high-point of the entire educational reform? To settle these problems properly, the instructional model of "demonstration in classroom" is far inadequate.The progress of internet has undoubtedly provided wider space for transt'erri ng of multimedia information. The internet technology and the multimedia technology should be integrated in order to settle the problems. How to integrate the most advanced educational theory and the most practical teaching tools perfectly isall the same a question to be researched.The paper discusses the application and practice of constructivism in courseware developing theoretically and practically, tries to integrate the two perfectly. I also use the courseware developed in the instruction of constructivism practically, and evaluate its effect in the end.For courseware developing, I bring forward some new thoughts: Instructional software should try to stimulate the student to think actively; Instructional software should consider how to help and promote the learners to watch their own learning process, to evaluate their own learning status, to reflect and adjust better, to design the next learning plan properly according to their own disadvantages.The design of instructional software should be beneficial to the learners to resolve the problems cooperatively, to the teams to discuss and exchange their ideas, to the teachers to communicate and interact. The design of instructional software should support the learners attempt to resolve the prohlem, should watch the attempt and make judge in order to provide specific and suggestive feedback and clew. The design of instructional software should try to plan more paths. It is a kind of evaluation for different thinking ways, not just different solutions to one question in the general sense. In the development of instructional software, the questions provided and the events simulated should accord with the actual problems so that the students can be stimulated to learn to solve the problems and get the sense of achievement. By organizing the cooperative learning, by designing the questions started with receiving and sending the discussible problems and discussing them in-depth afterwards, the students can be trained to study harder and work cooperatively and be more collectivistic.The appendix shows the practical courseware that can represent my ideas, and evaluate the effects of its application in practice.
